Finanz und Wirtschaft: RocketVax could become the new Moderna
SWISS CORONA PROJECTS: Many Swiss applications have failed. Some are still in the running, at least one could make it big. The most promising Swiss project at the moment is the vaccine from RocketVax. It could be included in the $5 billion Project NextGen, with which the US government aims to develop better vaccines and medicines. "We are negotiating with the US government for several hundred million dollars," says Vladimir Cmiljanovic, CEO of RocketVax. A contract could be concluded early next year. If approved later on, Washington would rely on RocketVax's vaccine instead of those from Moderna and BioNTech/Pfizer.
